xx.lightbulbs
The Limited Edition XX Light Bulbs can add a fun element (and filament?) to any room. Designed by Brian Donnelly (a.k.a. KAWS) and available in three colors, the set is priced at $65 and limited to a run of 1,000 units. The Standard Hotel collaborates with various artists on a variety of projects but the latest creation, originally found on Fresness Mag, is popping up on blogs everywhere.
untime.clock
The UnTIME Clock by Pushkar Ingale, a fellow in the Stanford-India Biodesign Program, is a really simple but great concept. Two counter-turning dials constantly adjust to show the current time but the combinations of size, background, and colors provide endless possibilities. Notice that design, found on Yanko Design, used the same black wood layout that the website uses for their background (and featured earlier on this blog).

living.modern
This modern home, found on MocoLoco, has more history than the surface reveals. Hidden inside is a yellow brick lodge for a local cannon foundry. To preserve the middle-age building but create a modern home, Biuras G.Natkevičius and his architecture firm built a glass box around the original structure. The conclusion is a modern and unique home located in Lithuania's Pavilniai Regional Park.
taking.notes
Minimalist design is the best but there's a certain pleasure that comes from minimalist features. With every new technology product trying to stack its resume with unnecessary abilities, the NoteSlate boasts the opposite. Available in multiple colors of frames, backgrounds, and inks, the simplified version of the iPad starts at a mere $100, looks absolutely beautiful, and minimizes distractions. Found on Uncrate, the NoteSlate can play music but that's about as complicated as it gets.
